Dr Claire Mitchell DPsych, BSc (Hons), UKCP, EAIP, EAP, EMDR practitioner
I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist, registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy and the European Association of Psychotherapy. I have been awarded a Doctorate in Psychotherapy by professional studies from Middlesex University and Metanoia, London. I also have a PGCE in Psychedelics and Mind Medicine from the University of Exeter.
I also have a certificate in supervision through Metanoia.
I am an EMDR (eye movement desensitisation reprocessing) and hypnosis practitioner, which I use for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Generalised Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, Intrusive thoughts, bereavement and depression - as well as a host of other mood and anxiety-related issues.
My research interests include existential crisis, expanded and altered states of consciousness, dreams, and phenomenology.
I believe we can all benefit from stepping back and examining our negative behaviour cycles, and I am dedicated to working towards positive change. Life is hard and full of many challenges, but the biggest one is often ourselves!
